Solutions for the Renewables industry

Monitoring and improving efficiency and production, controlling and optimizing distributed energy resources (DER). Supported by energy management software, operators coordinate dispatch and maintenance across sites.

Energy management software

Monitoring and visualization of production data for wind farms

Allowing power curve analysis with dashboards embedded in our energy management software.

With the power curve analyzer, you can detect irregularities or sudden unexpected changes in the power curves of wind turbines. This allows you to identify problems with turbines related to, for example, OEM software update errors on the turbines or technical problems with the turbines themselves.

Alarm statistics and detection of alarms requiring intervention

The alarm statistics dashboard displays alarms from both a frequency and duration and root cause perspective, and feeds priorities back into the energy management software for closed-loop actions.

Availability analysis (energetic availability)
ConnectPoint solutions allow you to generate your own availability calculations based on contractual categorizations, metrics such as IEC-61400 or others, providing a stronger negotiating position with the OEM during availability meetings, as well as overall increased availability of the wind turbine across portfolios of distributed energy resources.

Control Room solutions

We create dedicated control room solutions that integrate data from production equipment and business processes, allowing operators to have a full picture of the situation (Operational excellence) in remote locations (e.g. on wind farms). These control rooms are powered by energy management software to deliver unified situational awareness.

SCADA systems for photovoltaic farms, energy storage facilities, biogas plants and other DERs

We create both dedicated IoT platforms integrating distributed energy sources and integrate AVEVA solutions. Our integrations bridge SCADA systems with advanced analytics to track solar panel efficiency across PV fleets. We work based on standards developed over many years of experience for leading global energy producers. We have many ready-made components and interfaces, which allows us to quickly implement projects.

Carbon footprint in the project life cycle

Our company provides advanced life cycle analysis (LCA) tools for the renewable energy sector, supporting the calculation of the ecological footprint at every stage of project implementation – from construction and installation, through operation, to end of life. We create solutions tailored to the specifics of the industry, helping to consciously manage environmental impact and optimize processes in renewable energy.

Data quality assurance solutions

In distributed energy, data is often collected locally from various devices and systems with varying levels of access to the telecommunications network. This often creates problems with the quality of data used for reporting, forecasting or predictive models. ConnectPoint offers solutions that allow for monitoring and active improvement of process data quality, and thus more accurate reporting and forecasting.

Data lake platforms

A large number of renewable energy sources generate a large amount of data that must be collected, processed and shared with other business systems in the company. We offer Data Lake platforms in public and private clouds that allow for the integration of process data, maintenance data, production forecasts and their consistent sharing with other systems. These platforms centralize telemetry and KPIs, including solar panel efficiency, enabling portfolio-wide benchmarking and analysis across distributed energy resources.

Production forecasts

Production forecasting in renewable energy is a significant challenge due to the variability of weather conditions. We have ready connectors to weather/production forecast providers and build solutions that allow for detailed production forecasting of specific renewable sources.

Optimization of the operation of photovoltaic installations and energy storage facilities

Utility-scale PV farms and energy storage facilities require real-time access to data on their operations, market data, and forecasts. This is exactly what ConnectPoint solutions enable:

  • Precise analysis of device availability and operating parameters
  • Possibility to forecast and schedule optimal installation balancing, i.e. sending data to the electrical grid or loading/unloading storage
  • Detection of events that reduce efficiency
  • Integration of weather data, field crew management, and more

Managing photovoltaic installations from the perspective of optimizing the operation of the low voltage (nN) network

At certain times of the day, the LV Network can receive up to 100% of electricity production from prosumer PV installations. This generates a very large load on sunny days, threatening the stability of its operation by overloading and switching off the “last mile” and subsequent transformers. The Connectpoint solution monitors the operation of the PV installation and, in combination with the analysis of data from the LV Network cockpit (data on the load of individual transformers and LV network branches), can make autonomous decisions, which it converts into control commands to inverters – e.g. “redirect energy from PV to energy storage”, “redirect energy from PV to home appliances for current consumption”, “switch off PV installation”, “switch on PV installation” – in order to reduce the load on the LV network and ensure its normal operation.
